All customers are required to complete and sign their record card on arrival.

Your data is confidential and will not be shared with any third party without prior consent, as per the Data and Protection Act 1998.


All customers are required to inform Alice’s Dog Grooming of any known changes in their dog’s health or temperament. Dogs who are deemed by Alice to be severely matted may incur additional charges. Dogs who have fleas will incur an additional charge.

While your dog is in my care, their health and welfare is my primary concern so it’s important that I’m fully aware of any conditions. If any pre-existing condition is discovered during your pet’s groom, you will be made aware upon collection. It is important that you make sure your dog is not overly-matted. A charge of up to £10 may be levied if your dog’s coat is excessively overgrown or severely matted resulting in the groom to take longer. If your dog has fleas, I will charge you an additional £5. This is to cover the cost of deep-cleaning the premises.


All customers are required to be punctual when dropping off and collecting their dog. Customers who collect their pet after the agreed time may be subject to additional charges. Customers who arrive more than 20 minutes late may have to re-book their appointment for another time. 

I endeavour to offer a flexible service for all customers however, if they exceed their pick up time, an additional charge of £5 will be added for every 15 minutes they are late to pick up. This is subject to space in the shop. This also applies to your dog’s drop off time- please do not show up early as we may not be able to hold your dog before their appointment time. An extra £5 also applies if they fail to show up for their appointment. . 

Please be punctual. Most grooms take between one and three hours or more depending on the size, condition and temperament of the dog. Once your dog has been inspected, you will be advised what time they need collecting. If you are going to be late to collect your dog, please let me know as soon as possible. 


Customers are required to give at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling their appointment.

I work by appointment only and a no-show is lost income therefore, an additional £5 will be added when a new appointment is made. Please bear this in mind when cancelling your appointment. The more notice I’m given, the more likely I am to be able to re-sell your allocated slot. I maintain the right to cancel your appointment if you are more than 20 minutes late.


If customers wish to exchange or return a product this must be done within 30 days and with the original receipt. If the product has been damaged after purchase then a refund or exchange won’t be accepted.

Details of your dog including name, gender, age, any health problems

Name and contact telephone number of your Vet Practice in case of emergency

Alice’s Dog Grooming uses the data we collect to operate our business and communicate with you regarding your dog’s appointment. However, we do not use what you say in email, chat or testimonials without your prior written consent.

Reasons we share personal data

We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any product you have requested or authorised. This would include sharing your details through our card payment system when making a card payment for goods or services received.

Alice’s Dog Grooming does not share your personal data with any third party. We may very rarely share information from companies should we feel their business may be of interest to you but only at your request.
